Kyle wrestled from Kindergarten until he was a sophomore in College. He attended Shakopee High School in Minnesota where he was on the Varsity team all four years and placed 5th at the Minnesota State Tournament his senior year. He went on to Saint John's University in Minnesota where he competed for two years. He was a referee for the State High School League of Minnesota for 10 years and was a NCAA Division 2 and 3 referee for 3 years.
He married into a Reedsville Wrestling family in 2020 and in 2022 he and his family moved to the Reedsville area, where he now lives with his wife Terri and daughters Loretta and Scarlett. He has been an Assistant Coach with the High School since 2022 and helps coach the Cubs program with his brother-in-law.
